Behaviour Rules

Admission to the Library area is conditional upon the respect of the rules generally fixed in any public building.

The following is prohibited:
  • talking;
  • smoking;
  • bringing in food and drinks;
  • use of noise-producing equipment (including mobile phones);
  • bringing in animals;
  • causing a disturbance in any other manner.
The Library is not responsible for personal belongings brought in by users.

The staff is authorized to remove any books and\or personal items left unattended at a study space for more than 1 hour and to give the vacated seat to another user.

Users should not re-shelve library materials. Consulted materials must be returned to the staff.

It is forbidden to write in books or damage them in any way.

It is forbidden to take books or other kind of materials out of the Library building, even temporarily, except in accordance with specific loan rules or when so authorized by Library staff under exceptional circumstances. Sanctions for breaking Library behaviour rules vary according to the seriousness of the breach and may include the following: verbal reprimand, written reprimand, temporary or permanent exclusion from the Library.
